Folk Remedy Cure-All


Life a Long & Healthy Life

Add a tablespoon of vinegar every day to a glass of water and drink it down.

Or.. combine 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of honey, and a full glass of water. Take this tonic 3 times a day, 1/2 hour before meals.

Or... mix together 1 cup warm water, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, and 1 teaspoon honey. Drink immediately.

A Magical Tonic


Apple cider vinegar contains the healthy goodness of apples. It is packed with essential amino acids and healthful enzymes. Many people have claimed that this elixer will cure all illnesses, and even extend your life!

Traditional medicine is oriented to curing the causes of illness. They can treat illnesses, but are not geared towards preventing them. Maintaining good health, and maintaining a high quality of life is dependent upon taking care of the body, including eating well and exercising. A healthy body requires a diet rich in all necessary nutrients.

Apple cider vinegar has been endowed with a multitude of vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids. This may be why throughout history, it has had the reputation of being a cure-all.

Throughout history it has been used as a folk medicine to maintain general health, prevent disease, control weight, ease the discomfort of breathing problems, such as coughs and colds, and also to settle a disturbed digestive system.

Folk practices around the world, have all shared the constant theme of a small amount of apple cider vinegar, taken each day, to ensure a long and healthy life.

Apple cider vinegar enthusiasts can recite a long list of ailments that it can cure or prevent. It is claimed vinegar can banish arthritis, forestall osteoporosis, prevent cancer, kill infection, condition the skin, aid digestion, control weight, preserve memory, and protect the mind from aging.

Fighting Off Illness


To relieve sore throat pain, mix together 1/4 cup of honey and 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Take 1 tablespoon every 4 hours. May be taken more often if needed.

Ease the discomfort of a sore throat and speed healing by sipping occasionally on a syrup made of 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, and 3 tablespoons honey.

A vinegar gargle can ease the pain of a sore throat. Just gargle with a glass of warm water to which a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar has been added. Also works as an excellent mouthwash.

Soothe a night cough by sprinkling the pillowcase with apple cider vinegar.

A small amount of vinegar, taken every day, keeps the urinary tract acidic. This is useful in the reduction or treatment of a bladder or kidney infection.

To chase away a cold, soak an eight-inch square of brown paper (grocery bag paper) in apple cider vinegar. When the paper is saturated, sprinkle it with pepper and bind to the chest with cloth strips, pepper side of the paper next to the skin. After 20 mintues, remove the paper and wash the chest.

Look Better - Feel Younger


The most marvelous tonic for the feet is ankle deep bath water in which 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar has been added. Do this for 5 minutes, first thing in the morning, and last thing at night before going to bed. Hot, aching feet willbe soothed and cooled.

If troubled by the itching and peeling of athlete's foot, soak socks or pantyhose in vinegar water. Mix 1 part vinegar with 5 parts water and soak for 30 minutes before washing as usual.

Keeping Your Hair

A full head of healthy, richly colored hair can be ensured by starting each day with a drink of water to which has been added 4 teaspoons each of apple cider vinegar, black strap molasses, and honey.

Losing the Weight

Apple cider vinegar is helpful in melting away excess pounds. Simply drink a glass of warm water, with a single teaspoon of apple cider vinegar stirred in, before each meal. It moderates the over-stimulated appetite, and helps the body to metabolize fats.


Also, use a vinegar and water rinse to eliminate frizz from over-permed hair. It also brightens dark hair and adds shine to blond hair.


Memory Enhancer

Improve your memory by drinking a glass of warm water before each meal with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar mixed in.

Settling Upset Stomach

An unsettled stomach will calm down if you sip quietly on a glass of very warm water, to which has been added 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon vinegar. This is also good for easing gas.

Banish the discomfort of nausea or vomiting by placing a cloth wrung out of warm apple cider vinegar on the stomach. Replace with another warm cloth when it cools.

Healthy Salad Greens

Or... mix a Longevity Salad Dressing, by adding a teaspoonful of clover honey, with a tablespoon of vinegar, to a teaspoon of olive oil. Mix it together and serve over salad greens. To make a batch for the whole family, mix 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup corn oil, and 1/8 cup honey. Mix well and serve with your family's evening salad/

Headaches and pain will disappear if you add a dash of apple cider vinegar to the water in a vaporizer and inhale for 5 minutes. Lay quietly and the headache should be relieved in 20 minutes.

Nighttime leg cramps can be relieved by supplementing meals with a glass of water, fortified with apple cider vinegar. Prevent leg cramps by combining 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon calcium lactate in 1/2 glass of water. Take once per day.


Asthma Relief


Asthma can be relieved by combining the advantages of accupressure with the benefits of apple cider vinegar. Use a wide rubber band to hold gauze pads, which have been soaked in vinegar, to the inside of the wrists.


Banish Dandruff


Cure dandruff and make your hair shiny and healthy by rinsing after every shampoo with one-half cup apple cider vinegar mixed into two cups of warm water.
